How can I find my annual energy usage?

The utility company measures the amount of electricity you use and pay for in kilowatt hours (kWh).  If your bill is on auto-pay, you may not even know how much energy you use. This video shows you how and where to find that information on your bill.

When considering solar, a key decision is whether you want solar panels to replace 100% of your current usage or whether you anticipate making changes. Are you thinking about getting an electric car that runs entirely on energy you produce yourself? That will drive usage up by a measurable amount. Do you plan to replace an old refrigerator and water heater with EnergyStar appliances?  That will drive usage down.  Your installer uses your current annual kilowatt usage to help you size your system properly.
